During a speech at Tyumen Oil and Gas Forum, a representative of PJSC Gazprom Neft said that the company is developing a new project for "unpeopled onshore oil production", which is planned to be launched in 2025.
Introduction of new technologies will allow to involve personnel remotely in more complex "intelligent production management processes", rather than servicing equipment in the fields. PJSC Gazprom Neft expects to implement new projects at the expense of "unpeopled fields", while reducing costs by speeding up work at remote sites, improving production safety, and eliminating outdated operations on projects. According to the company, the reduction in labor costs will be about 76%, 50% of which will be due to digitalization and the exclusion of operations due to the use of new materials.
