Gazprom Neft will build a Geosphere research center in Tyumen, where core and fluid properties will be studied to develop research methods and technologies for oil and gas fields development.

The center will solve such tasks as the integration of data on the company's geological objects, deep research of the core and its structure, the study of reservoir systems using innovative methods and digital technologies.

The new innovation center, which has no analogues in Russia, will combine laboratories, high-tech core storage, as well as it will eventually become a platform for targeted training and development of specialists of PJSC Gazprom Neft and a venue for industry conferences.

The core storage facility, which will have an area of up to 200 km of core storage, will be fully automated using Russian-made robotic systems. It is planned to use advanced technological solutions, such as Bioregulation of lighting to maximize the use of natural light, reducing the level of solar radiation using special structures and facade glass, lighting with automatic color and intensity changes depending on natural light to increase the level of energy saving. It is expected that the design documentation of the future center will be ready in 2020, and the commissioning of the facility is planned for 2022.
